Neoslave’s DigiSexDreams is a sexy cyberpunk tale

Neoslave is the vibrant musical project from Leander ‘Lee’ Verheyen. Neoslave’s new album FROM WOMB TO DOOM will fill the air with familiar sounds of synthwave, but with a twist that is immediately… different. The official synopsis for the album is:

Created from the fluids of the damned. Born upon hallowed ground in the dead of night. Cared for by those whom lurk in the shadows.

‘From Womb To Doom’ is the devilish-tale of the bastard child of the apocalypse who grows to provide sexual experiences beyond the boundaries of pleasure and pain, and the ability to hand out death as a form of deep gratification.

This being can communicate with all – dead or alive – and will not hesitate in summoning the creatures of the night to rush any chosen discotheque or retro festival. Please be mindful of this shred of information.

NeoSlave was approached one Hallowe’en, amidst an unprecedented thunder storm, by a being who’s initial form was a she-wolf: The mother of the un-holy. In human-form she tasked NeoSlave with creating an audio biography of the unnamed, and ‘From Womb To Doom’ is the blood and sweat spilt during his perilous journey: Beginning to end.

The beast is no longer amongst us, as this was merely a test of humanities resolve against all that is dark and desirable. The beast shall return and with no intention of stopping our journey into oblivion. Our only defence against such an onslaught of pure evil is to arm ourselves with NeoSlave’s experiences… Unless you’re one of those whom choose the path of the serpent.

Not really cyberpunk, at first glance, but then you’ll lay your eyes on the art of Antunesketch and the video that they have created for one of the album’s songs, DigiSexDreams. The air’s retro-filled droplets materialize into cyberpunk liquid crystals as the imagery takes hold amidst the voice of Becca Star telling the tale of a futuristic succubus, or as Neoslave describes above, the she-wolf, mother of the unholy, one of many names and none.

The story opens with a nervous man looking out on a colorful cyberpunk cityscape. An advertising blimp like those seen in Blade Runner crosses the screen with the album namesake displayed – FROM WOMB TO DOOM. It is a harrowing harbinger of what is to come. Our protagonist enters into a bleak apartment with a waiting cyborg consort. A few taps of a bracelet computer and a cybernetic kiss and the protagonist and the cyborg are thrown into digital copulation. This pleasurable sensual experience takes a turn for the horrific as the cyborg attacks the protagonist with wires transferring his life and flesh to herself and transfiguring his flesh to that of a cyborg. A new being is born to bring doom to the world.

You can get a copy of Neoslave’s FROM WOMB TO DOOM from Lazerdiscs Records or from Bandcamp.
