What’s that famous saying?
“You wait forever for one cyberpunk-related daily sketch prompt to show up and then along come two at once!”
Wait, that’s not it. Regardless, that’s exactly what has happened over at /r/SketchDaily. On March 8th they had ‘Neuromancer‘ as the theme and then the following day it was ‘Futuristic City’. There were a lot of sketches shared – some better than others – and so that means lots of cyberpunk art to feast your cybernetic eyes on!
Neuromancer
The goal of Sketch Daily is clear; “Once a day we will post a theme for you to draw. Reply in the post for that day and get feedback on your art! Let’s help each other grow as artists!”
The following Reddit post kicked things off on March 8th:
“Neuromancer is a 1984 novel by William Gibson, a seminal work in the cyberpunk genre. It was Gibson’s debut novel and the beginning of the Sprawl trilogy. The novel tells the story of a washed-up computer hacker hired by a mysterious employer to pull off the ultimate hack.”
“Draw one of the characters or scenes!”
“Alt Theme: cyberpunk”
As the alternative theme was ‘cyberpunk’ it allowed those who weren’t aware of, or who hadn’t read Neuromancer to still take part. As a result, there’s a real range of subject matters; Molly, Mike Pondsmith and Cyberpunk 2077 to name a few.

Futuristic City
As an added bonus, Futuristic City was the next theme:
“What will the world be like in the year 2050? Or 2500? Or 5000? Let your imagination roam and visualize the world of tomorrow.”
“Alt theme: Monorail”
As a favour to you all, I excluded the ‘monorail’ sketches; some of those were just… weird.
