City@Night 007 – Linda Wisdom

This week in City@Night we’re mixing things up a bit.  You won’t find any bright neon lights or over-saturated shots of vehicle lights in city streets that make it look like a circuit board.  No, not this week.

The city photography on show this week goes hard on the noir aspect of the Cyberpunk aesthetic.  Linda Wisdom photographs people all over the world, from Paris to Berlin, NYC to London.  Most of her black and white photos focus on one individual in an urban landscape, making it look like they’re the only one there.  It feels as though these shots expose the loneliness of the individual often found in Cyberpunk literature.

Linda explains her interest over on her portfolio:

“I am passionate about photographing people and capturing the unexpected beauty & hidden truth in everyday moments. Street photography has broadened my imagination to the fact there is beauty in the ordinary and everyday. For some, the mundane and routine of life can pass you by if you do not open your eyes, heart and mind.”
